The students of the University of Montana Western have elected new senators, a president and vice president for the Associated Students of the University of Montana Western (ASUMW) Student Senate.

The Montana Western English department and writing club are calling all writers and artists to dust off unused paintings, short stories or poems and send them to the online magazine Twisted Ink.

April is National Donate Life Today Month, and Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) has challenged all Montana colleges and universities to encourage as many people as possible to register as organ donors.
The University of Montana Western Campus Corps team will have booths set up around campus where people can register as organ donors.

University of Montana Western environmental sciences professor Rob Thomas has been named Outstanding Baccalaureate Colleges Professor of the Year by The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

The University of Montana Western is making national news in U.S. News & World Report again, this time as the second-ranked university on a list of “Colleges that Offer Small Classes on a Budget.”
