A New Zealand Maori performance art group will be visiting Dillon and the University of Montana Western from Oct. 8 to 10, 2010 with a public performance on Friday, Oct. 8.
The Montana Western Polynesian Club presents the fourth annual spring luau on Saturday, April 24. This year’s event, “The Circle of Life,” will be held at the Keltz Arena. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner and performances begin at 6 p.m.
The University of Montana Western Polynesian Club presented “Spirit of the Islands,” three authentic Maori, Polynesian, Fijian, Hawaiian, Samoan and Tongan dance performances on Dec. 2 and 4, 2009. The Maori dance performances were under the direction of New Zealand natives Robin and Chanelle Casey who were in Dillon, Mont. on a seven-week residency.
