The University of Montana Western announced its fall 2011 Dean’s List, which includes 527 students.

Two University of Montana Western students involved with TRiO Student Support Services are celebrating recent successes during their undergraduate work at Montana Western.

Students in the University of Montana Western’s Multicultural and Global Education EDU 311 class received a firsthand multicultural experience during a September 2011 visit to the Salish Kootenai Tribal College (SKC) on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Pablo, Mont.

University of Montana Western sophomore Cody Cavill will be gaining experience and college credits in a Wilderness Emergency Medical Training (WEMT) class at the National Outdoor Leadership School in Lander, Wyo. in early 2012.

The University of Montana Western Environmental Interpretation ENST 275 class will present “A Living History of the Civilian Conservation Corps” on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Birch Creek Center located northwest of Dillon in the Pioneer Mountains.

The University of Montana Western has adopted Moodle as its new online learning platform. Moodle replaced WebCT on Monday, Aug. 29, the first day of the fall 2011 semester.

The University of Montana Western School of Outreach will be offering an introduction to publishing class during Block 2 of the fall 2011 semester and Block 8 of the spring 2012 semester.
