Ten University of Montana Western rodeo athletes qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), which will take place from June 10-16, 2012 in Casper, Wyo.
The Montana Western 2012 CNFR qualifiers are Chase Briggs, Bridger Chambers, Megan Crist, Tanner Denton, Colter Gardner, Kody LaHaye, Kylene Reynolds, Tyler Wines, Cassie Woosley and Tucker Zingg.
Manhattan, Mont. native and business major Chase Briggs qualified in team roping. He is the son of Sarah Kohler and Charlie Briggs.
Stevensville, Mont. native and human health and performance major Bridger Chambers qualified in team roping. He is the son of RaeCille and Keith Chambers.
Winnet, Mont. native and business major Colter Gardner qualified in calf roping. He is the son of Sherrie and Ray Gardner.
Bismark, N.D. native and business major Tucker Zingg qualified in team roping, bareback riding and is the reserve all-around cowboy. He is the son of Noel and the late Marla Zingg.
Wilsall, Mont. native and business, equine science major Kody Lahaye finished second in the Big Sky Region in calf roping. He is the son of Rhonda and Ken Lahaye.
Sterling, Utah native and business major Tanner Denton qualified in saddle bronc riding. He is the son of Glade and Cheri Denton.
Twin Falls, Idaho native and elementary education major Megan Crist finished second in the region in goat tying. She is the daughter of Melanie and Dave Crist.
Wilsall, Mont. native and environmental science and biology major Cassie Woosley finished third in breakaway roping. She is the daughter of Kelly and Bucky Woosley.
Melrose, Mont. native and business and equine studies major Kylene Reynolds qualified in barrel racing. She is the daughter of Tim and Sharon Tash Reynolds.
