Bulldog men’s basketball adds three

University of Montana Western head men’s basketball coach Steve Keller announced the signing of Brian Bullock of Boulder, Mont.; Kris Castro of Huntley, Mont.; and Rylan Shaw of Billings, Mont. to Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent.
Bullock, a 2010 graduate of Jefferson County High School, is a 6-foot-1 guard. He averaged 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and five assists per game while hitting 50 percent of his field goals and 86 percent of his free throws. Bullock earned all-conference and all-state honors. He maintained a 3.8 GPA and received academic all-state honors. He is the son of Chris and Stacey Bullock and will major in biology.
Castro, a 2010 graduate of Huntley Project High School, is a 6-1 guard. He averaged 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He earned all-conference and all-state honors. Castro also participated in golf. He maintained a 3.51 GPA and earned academic all-state honors. He is the son of Vincent and Kelly Castro and will major in elementary education.
Shaw, a 2010 graduate of Billings Skyview High School, is a 6-1 guard. He averaged 12.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. Shaw earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a junior and second-team all-conference honors as a senior. He is the son of Steve and Karla Shaw and will major in education.
“This is another great group of talented student-athletes,” Keller said. “All three come from good high school programs and all have the skills and work ethic to make a successful transition to college.”
