Associate Professor and Chair of Geology at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York Wayne Powell will be the next speaker at Montana Western’s “On the Rocks” science speaker series on Monday, April 26 at 4 p.m. in Block Hall Room 311.

Five students from a University of Montana Western environmental interpretation class are making a lasting mark on two of Montana’s most famous historic mining towns, Virginia and Nevada Cities.

Bulldog volleyball coach Katie Howells announced the signing of Ariana Milla, a junior college all-conference player from Fresno, Calif.

The University of Montana Western equestrian team competed at Stanford University for English zones on April 10 and 11. Montana Western placed fourth out of 20 teams.

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) recently awarded a research fellowship to University of Montana Western biology student Amanda Kortum. The fellowship requires at least ten weeks of research beginning in June, and Kortum will present her findings at the ASM General Meeting next summer.

Participating in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s (WBCA) Pink Zone, the Bulldogs teamed up with the Montana Western student senate, the campus Catholic ministries and several individuals to raise over $1,762 for Barrett Hospital’s Southwest Montana Mammography Program.
