The Montana Western Bulldog women’s basketball team went 1-2 at the Westminster College Fall Classic women’s basketball tournament.

With the help of University of Montana Western science professors and students, youth in the Big Hole basin got a first-hand scientific look at their river’s ecosystem at the first Big Hole Youth Field Day on Oct. 21, 2009.

The Montana Western volleyball and women’s basketball teams are the only teams in action this weekend.

On Friday, Nov. 13 Great Harvest Bread Company and the University of Montana Western Foundation joined forces for the “Raising Dough for the Beier Auditorium” fundraiser, which netted $3,566.40 for the auditorium’s restoration.

The University of Montana Western equestrian team competed in Missoula, Mont. at the University of Montana show this past weekend against teams from Montana State University, Carroll College, Rocky Mountain College, Utah State, the College of Southern Idaho and the University of Montana.

From crepes to curries, world cuisine came to Dillon on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Montana Western’s second annual International Food Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Elk’s Lodge.

Bulldog athletic teams were busy over the weekend with football and volleyball wrapping up their regular seasons.

A supercontinent and Siberian geology will be the subject of the University of Montana Western’s On the Rocks speaker series on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at 4 p.m. in Block Hall Room 311 on the UMW campus.

The Montana Western men’s and women’s basketball teams host Simpson University in non-conference games on Sunday, Nov. 8.
