University of Montana Western accreditation reaffirmed

The University of Montana Western announced its reaffirmation of accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The accrediting body, the largest in the country, includes 163 colleges in a seven-state region. (more)

Education class explores childhood environments

University of Montana Western education professor Julie Bullard finished the last block of the spring 2010 semester by taking her Exploring Rich Early Childhood Environments class on a tour of early childhood facilities in Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington April 19-23. (more)

UMW’s Amanda Kortum awarded fellowship

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) recently awarded a research fellowship to University of Montana Western biology student Amanda Kortum. The fellowship requires at least ten weeks of research beginning in June, and Kortum will present her findings at the ASM General Meeting next summer. (more)
